Honor Moorman

Honor is passionate about helping educators grow and creating greater opportunities for every student. Across three decades in education, her work has evolved from transforming learning in her own classroom to helping educators and organizations transform learning at scale.

Honor began her teaching career at The International School of the Americas, where she engaged students in interdisciplinary project-based learning centered on globally significant issues. As a National Board Certified Teacher, Google Certified Teacher, and PBS Teachers Digital Innovator, she continued learning alongside educators in the U.S. and around the world through Fulbright exchanges to Japan, South Africa, and Georgia.

Expanding her work into curriculum design, instructional coaching, and professional learning, Honor partnered with organizations including NCTE, KIPP, Asia Society, International Studies Schools Network, and World Savvy. Across these roles, she supported students, educators, schools, and districts at the intersections of PBL, digital learning, global education, and literacy.

Today, as a PBLWorks National Faculty member, Honor designs and facilitates professional learning for teachers and leaders nationwide while creating PBL projects for the Project Library, curriculum units for TEACH, and educator resources including Strategy Guides and Product Toolkits. She also designs and facilitates courses for Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms, teaches future teachers at Trinity University, and volunteers at the micro-school her twins attend in south Texas.

Across her work, Honor loves helping educators turn big ideas into purposeful learning experiences that engage students and empower them to make sense of — and make positive contributions to — the world around them.
