Project Design Consulting
Service Description
For this service, schools will schedule 30-45 minute meetings with individuals or small teams of teachers (e.g., grade level or departments) working on the same project. Participants will experience targeted support from our expert National Faculty in individual or small team meetings. Conversations will be anchored in up to two of the seven Essential Project Design Elements using the PBLWorks Project Design Rubric.
Whether the conversation is centered on strengthening the challenging problem or question, sustained inquiry, authenticity, student voice & choice, reflection, critique & revision, or the public product, participants will leave the workshop with specific ideas, strategies, and resources to strengthen the targeted Essential Project Design Elements in their project. Projects need to be written using the PBLWorks Project Planner.
What to Expect in Each Consultancy Session
Participating teachers should plan for expert support and lively instructional dialogue anchored in targeted Essential Design Elements, focusing on making the project more Gold Standard. They will identify bite-sized next steps and reflect on new insights. The facilitator will also work with the instructional leader at the end of the day to determine their next steps in supporting teachers.
