A Shift in Thinking: Bringing SEL into Science

After attending our SEL in PBL Pre-Conference workshop at PBL World, middle and high school science teacher Carolina Huertas Salgado walked away with a transformative realization:

"I was both surprised and amazed at how SEL can be easily incorporated into every class. I think there’s this misconception that SEL takes place in a homeroom class but not necessarily in science. And so for me, it was a huge change in thinking to realize that, YES, I can incorporate SEL into my science classes."

Carolina's story is a powerful reminder that SEL isn't just an add-on—it can be seamlessly integrated into any subject to create a more meaningful and inclusive learning experience.
