Vicky Wolfe Bender

Vicky Wolfe Bender serves as the Senior Director of Marketing for PBLWorks. Vicky brings more than 20 years of experience serving students and educators in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Despite graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in applied math and aerospace engineering, Vicky was drawn away from engineering and into education sales and marketing. She spent 14 years working alongside teachers and students, guiding them as they brainstormed, created, and sold their school yearbook each year, along the way earning numerous awards for her work and that of her schools. She led marketing for the yearbook division at Herff Jones, and then led sales and marketing for the Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA), an international education nonprofit in Indianapolis, helping students explore a college study abroad experience regardless of their financial background. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Project Lead The Way.

In addition, Vicky serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Leadership Development, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing minority youth in Central Indiana through education and personal development.

Vicky lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband and two boys. In her free time, Vicky likes to hike, read, and write. Though her boys are now grown, she still occasionally volunteers at robotics tournaments, and she is casually working on a novel about robotics students and coaches.
