Ted Malefyt

Ted Malefyt is a middle school science teacher for the STREAM school which is a joint effort between Hamilton Community Schools (West Michigan) and Outdoor Discovery Center Education Network. STREAM school places students in a gold standard PBL environment outdoors while using design thinking concepts to help drive sustained inquiry. Additionally, Ted has taught for the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District Future Prep’d program where teachers work with high school and middle school age students solving real world problems at community businesses. Away from teaching, Ted provides PBL training and support for schools while bringing in his classroom experience. Ted also supports the work being done with the Outdoor Discovery Center in bringing the natural world into the authentic context of teaching and learning.
