Johari Malik

Johari Malik is a member of PBLWorks’ National Faculty with over a decade of experience at the elementary and middle school levels. She has served as a classroom teacher, department chair, instructional coach, curriculum writer, and most recently as an assistant principal.

Johari has worked in both traditional and Montessori schools. She has experience implementing PBL working alone in her own classroom and as part of a PBL school.

She is passionate about equity in education and believes it is imperative that all children are valued and respected at school. Empowering young people to lead and take control of their education is an important part of her educational philosophy.
